Renewable energy development
Through a network of renewable energy technology companies, system integrators, operations and maintenance providers, financial institutions and power purchasers, Balfour Beatty Energy is developing a portfolio of renewable energy solutions. Every client that uses our services has access to the best of these enterprises. For each of our assignments, we assess the immediate and long-range needs of our client and study the availability of local resources. We then design a program that is customized to the job and the community. Resources stay local and costs are controlled.
Energy efficiency programs
Balfour Beatty Energy is equipped to assess the effectiveness of existing energy programs, examining current patterns of usage and identifying opportunities for improvement. We report on consumption, measure emissions and design retrofitting plans, all designed to save money and mitigate risk. When applicable, BB Energy conducts training programs for residents and/or employees to educate users on the value of conservation. Our clients have the option of paying directly for up-front costs or avoiding initial capital outlay by financing the expenses through ongoing energy savings

Lighting programs
Balfour Beatty designs, builds, replaces, finances and maintains lighting, including: street lights, traffic signals, signs, and large facilities. Our team develops and implements a custom lighting program that meets local infrastructure needs and delivers the program via a PPP. Balfour Beatty has delivered four municipal lighting solutions via a PPP business model that allow replacement of all street lighting on an accelerated basis, require no up-front cash from the municipality and reduce energy. |
